Project Overview

Polynomial Compression Algorithm is a set of algorithms for audio and video designed to create high fidelity compression with a reduced constant bit rate. Both the audio and the video have independent parameters to adjust both the bit rate of the video stream and the bit rate of the audio stream.

Both are command line tools that have hooks for embedded use. Version 0.1 is the initial version with very little support for audio or video codec registration (including jmf). The audio codec (pmc) has documentation of both how to use it and how it works. Similarly The video codec (pvc) has documentation of how to use and how it works.
